What began as one woman’s dream in a humble shack has become a beacon of hope for an entire community.
Principal Lwazikazi Sokutu saw a need, asked a powerful question, and built a safe and loving space where children could learn, laugh, and thrive while their mothers chased their dreams.
With the support of the 𝗖𝗶𝗽𝗹𝗮 𝗙𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 and the 𝗚𝗥𝗢𝗪 𝗘𝗖𝗗 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺𝗺𝗲, that dream grew into a thriving Early Childhood Development centre. Today, Sisonke Sibambisene is a place where futures are shaped, one tiny step at a time.
This year, we celebrated 10 years of resilience, love, and community at Stonehill Church in Klipheuwel and honoured the woman who believed in herself when no one else did.
“𝗜𝗳 𝗜 𝗱𝗶𝗱𝗻’𝘁 𝗯𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗲𝘃𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗺𝘆𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗳, 𝗻𝗼 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱.” – Sokutu
Here’s to the next chapter. The best is yet to come.
